Does FaxDirect meet PHIPA and HIPAA requirements?
We provide PHIPA controls for Ontario health information custodians and HIPAA controls for organizations that are covered entities: encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and an audit log of every view, download, send and delete. The controls are ours; the policies and staff training stay yours.
Can we send straight from our pharmacy software?
Yes. Send from Fillware, Kroll and similar systems the way you would print. You can also send from the desktop app, from your mail client, or by printing to FaxDirect out of any program.
How do we find an old fax when nobody remembers the date?
AI content search reads the text on the page, so you can look for a patient name or a medication instead of scrolling. Caller ID search finds it by the clinic or pharmacy that sent it.
Where are our documents stored?
In Canada or the United States. You choose the region when the account is provisioned, and the choice is written into your service agreement.
Do we keep our existing fax number?
Yes. Standard number porting is free, and you can check whether a number is portable before you commit to anything.
